ar for Car
Bunyi gabungan ar adalah seperti bunyi ‘ar’ dalam perkataan ‘car’(ar for car). Bunyi huruf /a/ disini terdiri dari kumpulan bunyi lain, ianya tidak sama dengan bunyi pendek “a for apple” atau bunyi panjang “a for ape”.
Bunyi huruf /a/ yang kedengaran dalam perkataan “car” seakan bunyi huruf /a/ dalam bahasa Malaysia yang diguna misalnya dalam perkataan arnab?.
Bunyi huruf /r/ menguasai (Bossy r) sebutan bunyi gabungan ini; bunyi vokal a sekadar bisikan (murmur) mengeluncur ke bunyi huruf r yang kedengaran lebih lantang. (a~r)

ReplyDeletePhonics - Our national school syllabus still follow the old traditional system of how to learn basic English reading. Phonics was here since the '90s but only taught on private basis and the fees can be expensive. Seems the Education system will soon introduce Phonics in the National schools.
I am blogging in my mother tongue, bahasa Malaysia for the benefit of non-English speakers, hopefully to help parents help their kids learn from home.
Not many children have the opportunity financially to attend extra tuition classes, so hoping this might help those in need. Most of phonics tutorials online are in English.
